　　l Replacement of Detector Diode

　　When there is no same model of detector diode to replace a damaged one, you can choose the diode with similar semiconductor and major parameter. If allowed, high frequency thyristor of Germanium ( only a PN Junction available ) is also accepted.

　　Generally speaking, rectifier diode with high reverse voltage could be substituted for those rectifier diodes with low reverse voltage and they could not be the replacement for the high reverse voltage ones.

　　l Replacement of Zener Diode

　　Same model or similar parameter of zener diode shall be selected to displace the damaged one. Operator could also apply the high dissipation power zener diode with stable voltage figure for the alternation of the low dissipation power zener diode but pay attention here: low dissipation power zener diode is not allowed to replace the high dissipation power zener diode. For example, a 0.5W, 6.2V zener diode could be replaced by 1W, 6.2V.

　　l Replacement of Switching Diode

　　Same model or similar parameter of switching diode would be preferred to displace the old one when it is worn out.

　　When a variode is too old to run any more, it shall be replaced by a same model or diode that has similar major parameter, especially the junction capacitance.
